Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent choice so far. Comment: Well having purchased a Samsung 24" unit only to discover that they now only have a 2 year warranty, I turned my attention to Viewsonic as they still get favourable reviews in the Consumer Guide "Which" although I personally had neverheard of them - these come with a 3 year warranty! Although the item is less than a week old, I have been very impressed. It replaced a 19" Acer Multimedia (speaker system) which was 5ms, and I must say this Viewsonic 24 is quite an improvement on what wasnt a bad product (Acer). Even the sound on the Viewsonic is perfectly acceptable for every day use. If theres one critism ( and that isnt of Viewsonic but of all manufacturers that gloosy black shows/attracts dust much more readilly. Customer Rating: Summary: A Must For any Movie Fan Or Gamer. Comment: This has to be the best priced value for money high end monitor on the market. The picture via HDMI for PC is awesome. A nice clear text even at the highest resolution. Gamers or film lovers alike will like the quality picture. I have not used the speakers so I cannot give you any feedback on them, however if your buying a screen like this, like me, you will want to get surround sound speaker system to add to the fantastic picture. With my GT240 Nvidia graphics card I am also able to play games in 3D with this setup, what more could you want. The monitor even has its own AI system to help you along its way. It also has 2 settings for HDMI one for standard AV connections and one for PC. If you dont set up on pc the screen looks to big and misses the edges, so make sure you do this if running your pc on it. By default it chooses AV.
Happy with the quality of the unit, Also has a 3 year limited warranty, which does give yo great piece of mind.
An A1 product all round from Viewsonic what more could you ask for? Customer Rating: Summary: Very good widescreen monitor at a budget price Comment: Overall the ViewSonic VX2433wm LCD monitor is a very good widescreen monitor at a budget price.
My only criticisms are:
1. the "1000:1 (20,000:1 dynamic) contrast ratio" sounds impressive but in reality I didn't notice much improvement compared with my retired ViewSonic VX912 550:1 contrast ratio monitor; i.e. a black picture still looks dark grey to me, especially when playing video games.
2. SRS WOW audio technology was designed for audio systems with higher RMS output and widely separated speakers, so a monitor with low RMS output and built-in speakers does not really benefit a great deal from SRS WOW.
3. The bundle does not include an HDMI cable, just D-Sub and DVI cables.

1. the speakers did not work.
2. I was not impressed by the display.
The display is not defective in any manner, it is just that I thought it looked too pixelated, I really noticed the lines. I was only using it for PC work and did not use it for video.
It may be that I am too picky for such a large monitor, or that I expect it to be as good as the apple monitors.
