Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome sound - or not? Comment: The worst item of technology I have ever bought, maximum volume is so low.I would never buy another Sandisk product on the strength of this.A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome little (cheapo) player Comment: I've asked my girlfriend for two years to get me a cheap, small, robust MP3 player for the gym. And every time I get a £100+ super MP4 playing, breakfast cooking monster that ends up squashed within 3-6 months... That has been the case until now: the little Sansa is a gem: really tiny with a clip to stick onto my clothing behind my back so there's never any wires getting in the way or danger of catching it with a bar. With way more functionality than I will ever need for the purpose AND ALL FOR £20 (if you search the Amazon). There's also plenty of skins (including a sports variety) available for it to make it truely indestructable.
One thing only: if you (like me) like to have your Chrystal Method on full blast in the gym, choose NORTH AMERICA as your location in the innitial settings: the EUROPE setting will limit the volume of your device and you'll be sorely disapointed. ENJOY!
Customer Rating: Summary: Good but not loud enough Comment: I bought this as I wanted to upgrade from my 2GB Creative Zen Stone. My primary reasons for upgrading were memory size and ease of navigation. On both these counts the Sansa Clip+ proved far superior. When combined with a 16GB micro sd card, this product offers a huge amount of storage relative to its price and size. Navigation is simple and intuitive, and allows browsing by artist, album, song, genre, and folder. Also of note is that the player reads the ID3 tags from both its internal memory and the memory card and compiles them into a single library so you can browse using the tags without having to worry about where you stored the files. The downside to this is that after you add songs and remove the player for your computer it takes a while to build the library. With storage maxed out on both the micro sd and the internal memory this takes about five minutes, which can be irritating if you just want to put a song on and immediately listen to it.
The other main downside I found in upgrading was that the player doesn't sound as loud as my old player. It's not a problem in most situations, but occasionally when I'm walking alongside loud traffic I'll want to turn the volume up louder than the maximum.
Other than these two issues the player is pretty much perfect. It looks and sounds good, is easy to use, and comes at a fantastic price. I've been using it regularly for over a month and I'm very happy with it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic little player Comment: After spending many weeks reading reviews on different MP3's, I decided to purchase the Sandisk 2GB Sansa...A fantastic bit of kit and well worth the money, sound is brilliant, although you do need to go into the settings menu to increase the volume (something to do with EU regulations, but there is a description on how to do it in the discussions section for this product)...Earphones are really good, although a little to large for my ears as they keep falling out when i'm in the gym..but again a minor inconvenience..My only gripe with this product is the packaging, it's nigh on impossible to open the blister pack, so had to resort to scissors to get through the plastic...all in all i'm well pleased with this player and would definitely consider another
Customer Rating: Summary: Works well with Ubuntu Linux, great value, great sound. Comment: If linux won't recognize it then disconnect the player, turn it on, go to
Settings > System Settings > USB mode and > MSC (set it to msc)
It should work fine when you reconnect it :)
[Ubuntu Linux is a free and open source an Operating System like Windows or Mac]
As stated in many other reviews be sure when you first buy it not to set your location to Europe, otherwise the sound will be quiet because of EU restrictions.
4GB is enough for about 1000 songs.
The player is excellent value for money, has excellent sound quality, is very easy to use, good battery, good radio, good internal microphone for the voice recorder, expandable storage with a micro SD, and doesn't require the instillation of any software onto your computer.
It's flawless. I love it.
